Unmasking the Political Weaponization of SARS-CoV-2, Part I

Part I: Legalese

Ladies and gentlemen, we have been had.

Seventy (70) days ago, on March 10, 2020, Governor Charlie Baker of Massachusetts publicly declared that the Commonwealth was under a State of Emergency with regards to the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, more commonly referred to as COVID-19 or simply “coronavirus”. The following Sunday, March 15, the order was extended to prohibit gatherings of more than 25 persons, and forced the closure of all dine-in services at restaurants and bars, effective March 17. Fifty-eight (58) days ago, on March 23 and under the direction of the Massachusetts Department of Pubic Health, Gov. Baker issued a two-week “stay at home” order, closing all businesses not deemed “essential” and effectively halting all medical care unrelated to COVID-19 in anticipation of an onslaught of critically ill patients.

The onslaught never materialized. And today, on May 20, 2020, that “stay-at-home” order has been extended six weeks past its initial expiration date, and Massachusetts citizens are being fined for having the audacity to reopen their businesses in ways Not Approved by the governor.

Boston, we have a problem. Sam Adams, John Hancock, and Paul Revere are probably turning in their graves to see us lay down and accept this blatant violation of our God-given rights.

Before I even attempt to get into the problem of mandating closures and masks and plexiglass at registers, I need to point out something very, very important that I’m willing to stake my livelihood and good name that most citizens of the Commonwealth are unaware of:

Once a state of emergency is declared in Massachusetts, there is virtually no limit on the governor’s power, including his ability to “temporarily” suspend our Constitutional rights of assemblage and travel. I put “temporarily” in quotation because there is also no expiration date on a declared state of emergency in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The powers of the governor during a state of emergency are enumerated in the “Civil Defense Act”, Acts of 1950, Chapter 639. This includes:

for the protection of the public, take possession (1) of any land or building, machinery or equipment; (2) of any horses, vehicles, motor vehicles, aircraft, ships, boats or any other means of conveyance, rolling stock of steam, diesel, electric railroads or of street railways; (3) of any cattle, poultry and any provisions for man or beast, and any fuel, gasoline or other means of propulsion which may be necessary or convenient for the use of the military or naval forces of the commonwealth or of the United States, or for the better protection or welfare of the commonwealth or its inhabitants as intended under this act.

Translated into 2020 terms, the Commonwealth can seize both the means of productions and the goods and services produced, including things like UPS trucks and the contents of the local Wal-Mart. The provision does include “reasonable compensation” for said seizures, but we all know what you and I think is reasonable differs from what Beacon Hill considers reasonable.

Further:

Whoever violates any provision of any such executive order or general regualtion issued or promulgated by the governor, for the violation of which no other penalty is provided by law, shall be punished by imprisonment of not more than one year, or by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or both

The (only) good news in all this is that according to MGL Part I, Title II, Chapter 17, Section 2a, “Upon declaration by the governor that such emergency has terminated, all powers granted to and exercised by the commissioner under this section shall terminate.” Presumably this means that when the governor does get around to ending the State of Emergency, all orders issued during that time (such as mandatory masks and social distancing) are also null and void.*

Why do I take the time to spell all this out, when I usually limit myself to my open personal opinions, based on established fact? Because up until about three weeks ago, when I found a Facebook post by a local lawyer explaining some of what I have written above, I was woefully ignorant regarding the ways my own elected officials could control my life and liberty without my explicit consent, to the point of bypassing the negative-rights enshrined in the Constitution. Then-State Senator Barak Obama was correct when he explained in a 2001 interview that, “generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties – it says what the states can’t do to you. It says what the federal government can’t do to you. But it doesn’t say what the federal government. ..must do on your behalf. And that hasn’t shifted.”

I am not okay with the steps the state has taken to suppress our civil liberties in light of the threat of the Chinese coronavirus. I think in the coming weeks and months, We The People are going to need to stand up and loudly remind the likes of Baker, Brown, Whitmer, Cuomo, and Newsom that they are not without limits and that we citizens are not without recourse.

*I’m not a lawyer, nor have I verified this presumption with a lawyer. This is my understanding of the law as written.

Avert your eyes…

…seriously, this is not safe for work, small children, special snowflakes, or house pets. If I had to see this, well, I sure as hell am not going to be the only one* who suffers.

* * * * * * * * * *      * * * * * * * * * *     * * * * * * * * * *

If you can’t read it, it says, “Periods are not just for women. Hashtag: Bleeding while trans”.

It’s okay. I’ll wait until you stop gagging.

This represents the epitome of what is wrong with celebrating a mental disorder. Yes, I will say that again:

Transexualism, or transgenderism, characterized by the belief that a person born biologically male, or biologically female, believes that he is a member of the opposite sex. One suffering from this belief, also known as gender dysphoria or gender identity disorder, will often undergo extreme measures to portray himself  externally in order to match these conflicted identities. These measures include but are not limited to cross-dressing, hormone therapy, and genital mutilation.

That is the basest summary. Now I’ll get into the technical:

A Biological Glossary¹, because, Facts and Science.
We all love Bill Nye, because of Science!

Sex
1.  : either of the two major forms of individuals that occur in many species and that are distinguished respectively as female or male especially on the basis of their reproductive organs and structures
2. :  the sum of the structural, functional, and behavioral characteristics of organisms that are involved in reproduction marked by the union of gametes and that distinguish males and females
3. a : sexually motivated phenomena or behavior
b : sexual intercourse
4. genetalia

Gender
1.  a : a subclass within a grammatical class (such as noun, pronoun, adjective, or verb) of a language that is partly   arbitrary but also partly based on distinguishable characteristics (such as shape, social rank, manner of existence, or sex) and that determines agreement with and selection of other words or grammatical forms
b : membership of a word or a grammatical form in such a subclass
c : an inflectional form (see inflection 3a) showing membership in such a subclass
2. a : sex the feminine gender
b : the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex

trans-
(prefix) 1. a prefix occurring in loanwords from Latin ( transcend; transfix); on this model, used with the meanings “across,” “beyond,” “through,” “changing thoroughly,” “transverse,” in combination with elements of any origin:

Here’s the basic, science-based, hard cold truth:
“Gender” is a language construct. In many romance languages, certain nouns are considered either masculine or feminine. The word “cat”, in Spanish, for example, is a masculine noun. One will always refer to “the cat” as “el gato”, regardless if the cat is male or female. Likewise, in French, “the chair” is translated as “la chaise”. Like Spanish, “la” denotes a feminine noun. In English, common nouns (person, place, thing) are neutral.

When it comes to humans, we are born² either male or female. We have a distinguishable and often visible sex: either a penis and testes or labia and vagina. Male babies carry the XY gene, females, XX. When puberty occurs, males will develop a deeper voice, more muscle mass, thicker and more widespread body hair, and the testes will drop further into the scrotum to facilitate the production of sperm. Females will develop breasts capable of creating milk and begin a roughly monthly menstrual cycle.

The menstrual cycle³, of course, brings me to the whole point of this. Every 28 days or so, the uterus, the only reproductive organ capable of protecting a developing baby, lines itself with nutrients and blood. If conception does not occur, the uterus empties itself of this material and begins the process anew. For anywhere between 2 and 7 days, give or take, blood and tissue exits the body via the vagina.

As ONLY females of our species have a uterus and a menstrual cycle, allow me to make it very, very clear that periods ARE just for women. There is no possible way that a biological male is ever going to ovulate, create sperm-friendly cervical fluid, conceive, and bear a child. He will never have breasts that produce milk and nourish that child. This is something exclusive to biological females.

One of the biggest problems I have is the statement, “I feel like a woman.” No person born male can ever truly understand what it is to be a woman. The closest true statement would be “I feel what I imagine being a woman feels like.” As a male, he will never experience the visceral things a female body does, will never see the world colored by the experiences of being a woman, because no matter what he does to his body, he will never be a woman. Likewise, a biological female can never truly understand what it is to be a man. We share the human experience, but it will always be through the lens of our own lives. I can imagine the discomfort of standing in front of a class with an unexpected erection because I have had to walk down the hallway with bloodstained clothes because my period started unexpectedly. I can’t tell you what the sensation in the testes during an erection feels like, nor can a man understand the unique and painful sensation of passing a large blood clot through the vagina. We cannot understand because it is outside our realm of experience. It is impossible.

So to the woman in the picture above suffering from gender identity disorder:
I’m sorry society has failed you. I’m sorry that we, as a culture, have allowed this notion of “sexual freedom” to get so far out of hand that it prevents you from getting the help you so desperately need. I can’t imagine what it is like to feel like you were born “wrong” or “broken”. You are not. You are a woman, a fellow human being, worthy of respect. I am only one small drop of water in an ocean of those who think your suffering is something that should be continued and not abated. I wish there was something that could be done that didn’t force you to poison and mutilate your beautiful body. For it IS beautiful, just as it was the day you were born and your family marveled over your adorable ears and counted each of your perfect fingers and toes. I’m sorry we are so far gone that we cannot help you. We can’t even help ourselves.

The Dawning of a New Age

I realize I haven’t written anything really political around here lately, and for good reason. It sends my stress levels though the roof and I’ve got six different doctors telling me to take it easy. On the other hand, they’re trying to get my blood pressure out of the toilet, so maybe this is a good thing.

Donald J. Trump is now our 45th president. To all the whiners and special snowflakes, allow me to offer some advice:

Shut. The fuck. Up. We, the silent majority, somehow managed to get through eight years of Barack Hussein Obama (Mmm Mmm Mmm), you will get through the next four (minimum) of President Trump. You know what? It feels really good to be able to say that. President Trump. He was not my first choice in the primary season. I voted for somebody else on Primary day. As Trump pulled a Secretariat and blew past the competition and I started looking into this hard-assed business man from NYC, I began to think, “You know what? Maybe this is the kick in the pants that the general public NEEDS so desperately right now.”

There are only two stipulations to become president of the United States. 1. You must be a natural-born citizen, and there are zero questions that Trump is. He was born in the Bronx to a first-generation German-American and a Scottish immigrant who became an US citizen on her 18th birthday. The second requirement states only that the office-holder must be 35 years of age or older*.

What does this mean? It means anyone who meets those two requirements can run for the highest office. It does not need to be a career politician, or a lawyer, or former ambassador. It does not need to be anyone with political experience. A farmer could run, or your local UPS guy, so long as they have the backing to launch a major political campaign. IMHO, I think a Joe Schmoe would do very well. Someone from the middle class who KNOWS what people want and need, rather than a person who’s been gazing down on us peons from their Ivory towers for most of their adult lives.

That’s why I trust the Donald to frankly, get shit done. He’s been there. He know’s what it’s like. Yeah, he may have grown up with money, but he knows what do to with it, and he’s not afraid to get down and dirty to get the job done. This country has taken some real wrong turns, and I’m surprised we haven’t landed at Albuquerque yet.** I firmly believe that he truly loves this country and is going to do what it takes to make it the reigning superpower, instead of the laughing-stock, on the world stage. Where others have led from behind, he will be leading the charge, in whatever form it takes.

So God bless President Trump, and God bless America.

How To Be a True American in these Troubled Times

An Editorial From an Average, American Citizen, after reading these results, that I’d been given the results to share.

“If Hillary was the right woman/candidate to run this country, the results of last nights election would be different. If Trump is as unfit to run this country as people claimed he is, he would not be president-elect at this very moment.
Its ridiculous that people are already throwing around impeachment as an option because they dislike Trump, especially when he hasn’t done anything to warrant the word “impeachment” (which btw Inauguration Day isn’t till January 20th so you might wanna actually come up with legitamate grounds to have Trump impeached before you start babbling stupidity) to be thrown around…now HRC is a different story but she is not/won’t be president so we don’t have to even worry about that.
I’ve seen people already say they’re hoping Trump gets assassinated and that his whole family dies out…and these are the SAME people spewing ignorant remarks about how we as a people “chose hate over kindness. Chose taking a step backwards over progression”. It makes me sick.
Whether you voted for Trump or not, he is our future President of our United States. WITH that title, comes the duty of the people who live in the USA as a whole to respect the POSITION, even if we don’t particularly love the person holding it.
And I’m sure it will happen, because everyone is entitled an opinion but please do not take this status and attack me and what I just said. I will not be answering any negativity so don’t waste your time. This was simply a post to say whether we like it or not, this is how it is and we as a people need to respect the Presidency and stop running our mouths about things that maybe should have happened, things we wished hadn’t happened, but simply did/didn’t. So move on and be proud to be an American. ”    Fin.

With great thanks to my guest speaker, you rock it girl. If anyone else thinks them worthy of submission, I’d be interested curious to read your writing from both sides of the aisle.

I’ll add subject matter, form, etc. Go get those pens going, kids.

Why Trump Understands Our Foreign Policy Better Than You Think

The media went crazy the other day when Donald Trump, Republican nominee for the 2016 Presidential election, suggested that if Russia had the remaining 33,000 missing emails from Hillary Clinton’s private server, it might be kind enough to hand them over. There was much grinding and gnashing of teeth, with some even going so far as so accuse Mr. Trump of treason for inviting a foreign government into our own affairs. Although at the outset it could be suggested that Mr. Trump was speaking in jest, it may just be that he’s more familiar with our international law than the rest of us.

In June of 1999, The United States of America and the Russian Federation signed “Treaties and Other International Acts Series 13046: Mutual Legal Assistance”. It holds the seal of the United States State Department and the following note on the first two pages:

NOTE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE

Pursuant to Public Law 89—497, approved July 8, 1966 (80 Stat. 271; 1 U.S.C. 113)—

“. . .the Treaties and Other International Acts Series issued under the authority of the Secretary of State shall be competent

evidence . . . of the treaties, international agreements other than treaties, and proclamations by the President of such treaties and international agreements other than treaties, as the case may be, therein contained, in all the courts of law and equity and of maritime jurisdiction, and in all the tribunals and public offices of the

United States, and of the several States, without any further proof or authentication thereof.”

Under this Treaty, Article 2, section 2 reads “Legal assistance under this treaty shall include… (2) providing documents, records, and other items;”

In short, this means that if either country, Russia or the USA, holds information pertinent to an ongoing legal case (which with regards to Mrs. Clinton’s emails, is still very much pertinent, as the Democrats have accused Russia for the DNC email hack and more), the partner country can submit a request in writing for that information to be turned over.

The irony of all this, of course, is that the treaty was signed by Mrs. Clinton’s husband, former President William Jefferson Clinton. When it was fully ratified some years later, it was passed unanimously by the 106th Senate (Treaty doc 106-22), of which Mrs. Clinton herself was a part (D-NY).

The full text of the treaty can be seen here: Mutual Legal Aid Treaty

Brown bear (Ursus arctos) growling, close-up, Washington, USA

Obama and the Clintons have poked the Russian bear on more than one occasion. It is this author’s opinion that Putin would be more than happy to do us a solid and bring Mrs. Clinton down.

This Post Brought To You By an Unbelievable Level of Stupid, Courtesy of the Liberal Left

Otherwise entitled: Society has lost its collective mind and I just can’t right now.

  1. Seattle, WA: A man undresses in a women’s restroom, citing a new rule in the city that allows people to choose a bathroom based on gender “identity”
  2. Prince William County, VA: A man dressed as a woman was arrested after police say he was caught peeping/filming into restroom stalls three times in the past year.
  3. Palmdale, CA: A 33 y/o Palmdale man who allegedly dressed as a woman while secretly videotaping females using a department store bathroom was charged with six counts of unlawful use of a concealed camera for the purposes of sexual gratification.
  4. Ontario, Canada: A biological man claiming to be transgender so as to gain access to women at two Toronto shelters was jailed “indefinitely” after being declared by a judge a “dangerous offender”. The man assaulted and raped multiple women, including a Deaf woman.
  5. Toronto, Canada: The University of Toronto recently changed its transgender restroom policy after multiple peeping incidents.
  6. Smyrna, TN: William David was arrested in Wisconsin but was extradited to TN to face felony charges relating to filming women inside Smyrna restrooms, including aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
  7. Orange, CA: A 24 y/o man was arrested after a hidden cell phone was recording video inside a unisex, single-stall restroom at Chapman University.
  8. Pitman, NJ: A teacher, school bus driver, and high school student were among 16 people facing child pornography charges in New Jersey. Thomas Guzzi Jr., 36, of Pitman, is also charged with 3rd degree invasion of privacy for allegedly hiding a tablet computer in a bathroom stall to record video of others using the toilet.
  9. Logan County, OK: 43 y/o James Curt Rose sits behind bars for videotaping a 13y/o in the showers at a YMCA
  10. Iowa City, IA: University of Iowa police arrest a man connected with the videotaping of a women who was showering in a residence hall.
  11. Quarryville, PA: 19y/o James Thomas Shoemaker was arrested and faces child porn charges for hiding in a woman’s restroom and taking pictures of young girls on his cell phone.
  12. Montgomery County, PA: A man was arrested at a Target Store after a female patron caught him attempting to spy on her while she was in the dressing room.
  13. Athens, GA: A man was seen on security cameras in a local Target sneaking into a women’s restroom and using his cell phone to take pictures of the ladies in there. He was detained by store security until police arrived.
  14. Brentwood, MO: 26y/o Matthew Foestrel is accused of holding a camera under a Target dressing room door while a female patron was trying on bathing suits. He was convicted of “knowingly and intentionally” filming an 11 y/o girl in a dressing room while partially nude. Foestrel was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
  15. Petersburg, FL: To demonstrate the absurdity of the Target policy, a man, dressed as a man, acting as a man, records a conversation between himself and the store manager in which the man asks if it’s okay that he uses the women’s room because he “feels uncomfortable” in the men’s room. The manager assures him that it is, and he will deal with any complaints from women already using the facilities. The man leaves, as he was only proving a point.
    no_trouble

There are more, of course, but I’m sick of looking at double screens to get the details. I think you begin to get the gist: the idea of allowing one to use whichever restroom or fitting room, or any other place people of a single sex usually gather while in a state of dishabille, they “feel” best suits their “identity” at the moment, is a truly terrible idea.

Now, allow me to clarify one thing. I am not talking about the roughly 700,000 people (out of 323,439,000) in the nation that are transgender. (Although it is biologically and scientifically impossible to turn a man into a woman, or vice versa, that is a post for a different day.) No, I’m taking about the 808,675 (and growing) registered sex offenders in this country and her territories. Now, that’s about 0.25% of the population. Transgenders make up even less than that, even less than the usually reported 0.30%- it’s more like 0.22%. Ergo:

Sex offender population > transgender population

So I’m sorry, but my safety and security as a woman, and the safety and security of other women and girls trumps your “comfort”. Sure, there are plenty of perverts and deviants who would assault women before policies like this, but now we’ve just opened Pandora’s Box and made it extremely easy for them to do so, because now no one will initially question their presence in what should be a ladies-only area. But think about it. I stop at one of these quietly gender-neutral friendly stores after work (because it sure won’t be a vocal one like Target. #BoycottTarget) to pick up a few things. I was in a rush to get out of the building and have to use the restroom. Like most store restrooms, this one is tucked in an out-of-the-way place, away from most of the other patrons. I’m carrying my purse and I’m wearing high heels- not conducive to running. Inside the ladies’ room in a man, dressed as woman, and he’s not there to pee and leave. I’m 5’1 and barely over 100lbs. What are the odds that your average male is not going to have a super difficult time overpowering me?

Ladies, before you get all gung-ho about equal-rights rah-rah-rah, think about how often you already have your guard up, walking alone on the street, in a bar, etc. How often are you made to feel uncomfortable by something uncouth a man does, or says. How frequently do we already go to the restroom in “packs”? It’s not because we need someone to help us wipe our butts. It’s protection for ourselves and each other. Why on God’s green earth would you support something to further endanger yourself?

When Lions Trump Babies, You Know We’re Screwed

Imagine, if you will, your friendly neighborhood veterinarian. We’ll call her Dr. Farrell. Dr. Farrell loves dogs. She loves dogs so much, that she runs a dog-specific clinic. She especially loves puppies and mama-dogs, so she concentrates on them. She says she treats them for all types of diseases and testings and screenings to ensure their health, but she’s most concerned with the ones who are pregnant. She knows that the ones who are pregnant and have owners that want the puppies will be fine, so she tells those dogs to go somewhere else for their care. Dr. Farrell takes care of the dregs. She specifically sets up her clinics in areas that have a lot of poor, stray dogs. Dogs that don’t have owners, or have owners that don’t care about them. Dogs that aren’t spayed. Dogs that wouldn’t be able to take care of their puppies. So everyday, Dr. Farrell makes sure her clinic looks hip and inviting, with comfortable doggy beds, bones to gnaw on, fresh food and water. When a pregnant lady dog comes in, Dr. Farrell assures her that she doesn’t have to worry about half a dozen new mouths to feed. She’ll take care of the problem and send the dog on her way.

So Dr. Farrell forces open the dog’s cervix, and reaches in with some sort of suction device and a knife (curette) to cut the puppies apart and extract them from the womb. One of Dr. Farrell’s assistants will have to put all the pieces together again later to make sure all the puppy-tissue was gotten. Sometimes, if Dr. Farrell didn’t get to the dog early enough, she might burn the baby puppies to death with saline, or wait till the puppies are almost born, then as they’re coming through the mama dog’s birth canal, she’ll just stab them in the back of the skull with scissors. Whatever way she chooses, the puppies are dead and no longer the lady dog’s responsibility.

Running a clinic like this is hard though, and even though places like PETA give her a lot of money to keep the unwanted puppy population down, Dr. Farrell has found that she can get a lot of money by selling those puppy bodies to cosmetic companies. People get so angry when they hear that companies test their products on animals, but no one seems to care about the puppies that Dr. Farrell has killed. For whatever reason, they are blind to it. So Dr. Farrell is able to sell those bodies to Covergirl and Bath and Body Works, and they pay enough to buy Dr. Farrell a new car. All thanks to dismembered puppies.

Now, be serious. If an undercover journalist had come out in the last 10 days with videos proving that PETA was dismembering and selling unborn puppies or kittens, the country would be in an uproar (see: Cecil the Lion). Instead, an undercover journalish has undeniable evidence that abortion giant Planned Parenthood is selling the bodies of unborn children. More than that, they are line items. They are profit. They keep PP in the black. There is good evidence that many of these children are intact, which means PP is blatently ignoring the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban one way or another. As of this writing, three states (NH, AL, and LA) have cut off funding to Planned Parenthood, and several others have launched investigations.

As Americans – hell, as decent human beings, why are we even pretending that this is okay? What makes us think that it is okay to kill a child at any stage of his or her development? If one killed a panda in its mother’s pouch, he would be in as much legal trouble as if he killed the adult panda. Probably more. Why? Because a developing panda is still a panda. Why are animals protected, and not human babies? They are equally defenseless.

Planned Parenthood is beyond defending. Please, if you haven’t already, watch the videos or read the transcripts. (All of which can be found here.) Urge companies like Pepsi and Bath & Body Works to stop their donations, as others like Coca-Cola have already done. Write your members of Congress on the State and Federal level to defund them; you do not want your tax dollars supporting state-sanctioned murder.

Save the humans.

Komen We Look to Someone Else for a Cure?

Tomorrow is October 1, and tomorrow all the little pink ribbons come out. We will see them everywhere from purses to NFL helmets. They are the primary symbol of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, the biggest breast cancer awareness/research campaign in the US. Or, as their mission states, “to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering others, ensuring quality care for all and investing in science to find the cures”.

A very laudable goal.

Breast cancer is bad. Cancer in general really sucks, whether that be breast, brain, or bone. Pick a body part. If its cells can go haywire, repairing and curing them is going to be a torturous process and the faster mankind finds a way to do that, the better. By now, I don’t think there’s a one of us who has not been touched by cancer in some way, shape, or form. Therefore, I cannot bring myself to disagree with Komen’s mission statement.

I can and do disagree with its methods, and as such, cannot and will not support anything Komen does. I will not purchase products with a pink ribbon, I will not donate to groups collecting for Komen, and I will not participate in any relays, 5ks, walks, or really anything having to do with the color pink for the next 31 days.

Two years ago, it came out that Komen was one of Planned Parenthood’s biggest donators. There was some initial outrage, and Komen withdrew their pledge of support from the abortion giant but soon caved to political and social media pressure  and reinstated the funds.

I cannot be the only person to find it ironic that a group that has dedicated itself to the elimination of breast cancer supports an organization whose primary offering actually causes breast cancer. That a group that is out to supposedly protect women from the ravages of a most horrid disease gives money to an organization that procures a procedure to kill nearly 333,400 children in the womb. In doing so, Planned Parenthood puts mothers at risk not only for breast cancer, but damage to the uterus and cervix (causing, in some cases, sterility), infection and sepsis, damage to other organs, and death. There is emotional trauma to consider as well – regret, anger, depression, guilt, shame, insomnia, relationship issues, nightmares, eating disorders, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts or feelings.

Susan G. Komen, by funding Planned Parenthood, what is it, exactly, you are trying to accomplish?

Not only is this the biggest abortion provider in the nation, but this is a group that supports sex-selection abortion. Which sex you might ask? Females. Girls are being aborted at a far higher rate than boys are.

Planned Parenthood is in our children’s schools. In the name of “safer sex”, Planned Parenthood receives $500 million in taxpayer dollars (read: what comes out of your paycheck every week) to teach kids about:

  • BDSM, anal sex, toys, porn sites, and role-play practices (Indianapolis, IN)
  • asphyxiation, bondage, whips, gags, sex shops (it is against local law for a minor to enter a sex shop; the girl in the video is 15), porn, “safe words” (Littleton, CO; receiving extra money through Obamacare for teen sex ed)
  • fetishes, “educational” porn, porn sites, kink (Willamette, OR)
  • whips, nipple clamps, ropes, “anything sexual is normal as long as it’s consensual”, role-play, 50 Shades of Grey, birth control, (St. Paul, MN)

These are just examples from four locations; clinicians speaking to a fifteen-year-old female patient posing as someone whose boyfriend had suggested “trying something new” in the bedroom. Negating the fact that fifteen is a little young to be having sex, how many of you would like a stranger “educating” your son or daughter, niece or nephew, brother or sister, grandchild, or cousin on erotic asphyxiation, bondage, whips, gags, safe words, and pornography without your knowledge or approval?

Planned Parenthood doesn’t need or want your approval, and when their “prevention” methods inevitably fail, they’ll be the ones accepting your money for her abortion.

So I will not be supporting Komen. I will not sport a pink ribbon this month, nor any other month until Komen re-directs those funds toward a charity or research that helps women instead of harming them. The American Life League suggests instead the Mary Kay Foundation (research for cancers that affect women: breast, cervical, ovarian, uterine) and does not award grants for research using embryonic stem cells or aborted baby’s tissue.

Komen wants to save women. Why support the foundation that murders them?

I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life, not lived in the shadow of cancer but in the light.      -Patrick Swayze

Not Cool, Southwest Air, Not Cool

Well, I can add Southwest to my list of “airlines I won’t fly”.

Folks, I’d like you to meet Daniel:

daniel

Daniel is three years old and suffers from a very rare neuromuscular disease. Unfortunately, his condition is terminal. His family has compiled a small bucket list in order to cram as much happiness into Daniel’s regrettably short life as they can. In order to help, the ever-wonderful Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, who apparently rescues sad humans as well as sad dogs (Daniel’s family adopted a dog from BFDR some time ago) has organized a trip to Talladega next month along with local PD, fans, and random people everywhere. According to Jeanne at BFDR:

“One of the things we thought we had covered were airline tickets from Baltimore to Birmingham. People offered to donate miles to help get them there.  Then Southwest Airlines decided to suck.”

Southwest’s lame-o excuse? They only donate tickets to Make-a-Wish families, and Daniel has already been granted his wish. If people want to donate their miles, they’ll be charged. (Keep in mind that these aren’t miles that will cost Southwest anything; these are miles that others have already accrued and people want to donate and be kind. Just like donating gently used clothes. These are gently used miles. Sorta.) Why who uses these free miles should even matter to Southwest is beyond me, but charging for what should be free is unacceptable.

More from BFDR:

So, we’ll buy their tickets. We need to fundraise $3500 to buy this family of four tickets to get to Talladega. This is likely the last trip this family will take as Daniel is fading. We wanted him to have the trip all little boys want where he gets to see an honest to God NASCAR race up close and in person. We will make sure he gets it, even if Southwest Airlines sucks epicly. Our fans have already made this a trip of a lifetime, and this is the last piece of the puzzle.

Please spread the word and donate if you can. Feel free to spread the word that Southwest wanted to charge for donating miles to help a dying boy. If you would like to donate, please do so here: http://bigfluffydogs.com/pay-online.php. Make sure you email jean@bigfluffydogs.com after you donate and put the word “Daniel” in the subject line. I will post and let you know when we have what we need. Thanks for being the best fans in the world and helping a dying boy even when Southwest Airlines wants to profit from the well wishes of people.

So Delta had lost my business for their horrid customer service, and now Southwest has lost it for their complete and total Scrooge-itude. When a multi-million dollar company cannot stand the thought of its frequent fliers participating in charity, we have a major problem.

“Hey sonny, how about a little ice?”

This deleted scene from James Cameron’s 1997 epic Titanic illustrates the well-known concept of “irony” – the Unsinkable Molly Brown requesting a bit of ice for her nightcap as the ship passes the massive iceberg that proves to be its undoing. My apologies for the blasphemy from the crow’s nest there – I didn’t write the script.

A trend has been sweeping social media the last few days to raise both awareness and money for ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. This terrifically debilitating disease causes the body to slowly waste away, trapping the mind and soul, leaving the person helpless and prisoner behind his eyes – unable to move, to speak, and eventually, breathe. There is no cure. Videos and challenges to either donate money to the ALS foundation and/or dump a bucket of ice water over your head have been popping up on Facebook left and right. What is interesting though is the number of counter-videos and essays I have seen saying “Why should I dump a bucket of water over my head? It’s not going to do anything for ALS research.”

No kidding. Yet how many people have puzzle-piece ribbons on the back of their car supporting those with autism? Or sport something pink during the month of October for breast cancer awareness? Or tie a yellow ribbon to their car antennae to remember troops overseas? Pick a ribbon color – there is a cause it represents. (Dystonia ribbons are blue, in case you were curious.) ALS affects even fewer people than does dystonia – about 30,000. If it weren’t for Lou Gehrig and Stephen Hawking, there’s a chance that no one would know what it is.

So if you get “tagged”, go ahead and dump that water over your head. Tag a few more of your friends. If you can and if it’s a cause you feel is important, donate to the ALS foundation or other charity of your choice. There’s nothing wrong with raising awareness for a good cause and having fun with it along the way. If you don’t want to give yourself hypothermia, that’s totally ok too. Get yourself some white and blue pinstriped ribbon. (Lou Gehrig was a Yankee.) Say a prayer for the sufferers and their families and their caretakers. Say one for the scientists and researchers too. Support doesn’t need to cost a cent.

Sometimes, the best kind of support is just knowing people care.
