“Harsher Punishment for Parole Violators…and World Peace”

I had fully intended on following up that last COVID post with a reflection on the ridiculousness and ineffectiveness of masks and social distancing, but like everyone else, I’ve been a bit distracted by the nihilistic anarchists burning our major metropolitan areas to the ground.

Ben Shapiro of the Daily Wire said it best in an op-ed on June 3, 2020:

…virtually all Americans agree with the following two propositions: first, that it is evil for a police officer to place his knee on the neck of a prone suspect struggling to breathe for eight long minutes; second, that breaking store windows, stealing televisions and shoes; beating business owners; and attacking police officers is wrong.

I have asked dozens of friends on social media who have publicly supported chaos the following question: “What is the endgame here?” At worst, the response is “equality”, which is about as vague as Miss Congeniality’s “world peace”. Many of them declined to answer, and the remainder have said change needs to come from the voting booth. I can only assume that they took Hillary Clinton’s words to heart in 2018, “You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about. That’s why I believe if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and the Senate, that’s when civility will start again.”

Translation? Vote Democrat, or be wrong.

I took a look at the 26 American cities (and unfortunately, I did not save the article that I got this list from) that first  had protests-turned-riots. Together, these cities represent 31,680,073 people, or 10% of the US population¹ See my data tables: Riot Summary

  • These 26 cities are located in 21 states.
    • Nine states (43%) voted for Clinton in 2016, 12 (57%) voted Trump.
    • The cities in the nine blue states represent 68% of the population of these cities experiencing riots, and 6% of the overall population, in case you were wondering why the Electoral College is so important.
    • Ten governors are Republican, 11 are Democrats. Racial minorities make up 9.5% of these 21 governors. 14% of the governors are women (all Democrat).
    • These 21 states have 42 Senators representing them in Congress.
      • 45% Republican
      • 55% Democrat
  • Of the 26 cities:
    • 73% are led by Democrat² mayors
    • 23% are led by Republican mayors
    • 4% are led by Independent mayors
    • 19% of those mayors represent a racial minority
    • 30% of those mayors are female.
      • 11.5% of those mayors represent a female that is also a racial minority
    • The Chiefs of Police in these cities are:
      • 61% white
      • 38% black
      • 15% female/85% male
    • Representation in Congress
      • Given how large some of these cities are (New York, Los Angeles) and that there is often more than one representative for a city, I went with the first name that popped up when I typed “New York, NY” at GovTrack.
        • 93% of the Representatives in Congress are Democrat; 8% Republican.
        • Representation is split evenly between men and women, white and minority.
          • 31% are female minorities
          • 19% male minorities
  1. Population and demographics, as well as the historical breakdown of mayors and governors by political party as represented in the chart, all courtesy of Wikipedia. Yeah, not my favorite source either, but I don’t feel like sifting through the US Census Bureau’s webpage.
  2. Most mayoral offices explicitly state that they are nonpartisan, but the candidates for office will make their official political party preference known.
  3. According to an article by the National Research Center, women generally make up 15% of police forces but only 3% of top leadership rolls. Ergo, female chiefs are overrepresented in rioting cities.

According to the US Census Bureau, the racial demographics of America are:

White alone: 76.5%
Black or African American alone: 13.4%
American Indian and Alaskan Native alone: 1.3%
Asian alone: 5.9%
Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander alone: 0.2%
Two or More Races: 2.7%
Hispanic or Latino: 18.3%
White alone, not Hispanic or Latino: 60.4%

Female persons: 50.8%

Now, I’m not a mathematician or a statistician in any way, shape, or form, but here’s my takeaway from all this.
Between posting black squares on social media and defacing war memorials dedicated to black soldiers, I’m being told that the voting booth is where lasting change will occur†. In cities that are rioting, minorities have equal or greater representation in public office when compared to the general racial makeup of America. Women in general are under-represented in the mayor’s office but have equal representation in the House of Representatives. (I did not look at the male/female demographics in the Senate, only political affiliation.) Despite voting for Clinton or Trump in 2016, Democrats hold the majority of leadership positions at the local, state, and federal level.

Here’s the fun part. Of the Democrat-controlled cities:
Atlanta, GA has been run by Democrats since 1879.
Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Houston, TX, have been run by Democrats since 1930, 1931, and 1933, respectively.
SEVEN other cities experiencing riots have been under Democrat-control for 50 years or more.

If the way to “fix” systemic racism (another topic for another day) is by voting Democrat, and Democrats have already controlled 11 of the 26 cities studied for anywhere between 50 and 150 years- HOW IS VOTING DEMOCRAT GOING TO FIX ANYTHING? By this philosophy, these cities should be utopias. Instead, Houston, TX (since 1933), Chicago, IL (1931), Minneapolis, MN (1978), Nashville, TN (1951††), Oakland, CA (1979), Albuquerque, NM (2017†††), Memphis, TN (1982), Detroit, MI (1962), and St. Louis, MO (1949) all make USA Today’s list of “25 of the Most Dangerous Cities in America”.

I believe this is the very definition of insanity.

†Assuming the voting booths aren’t burned to the ground. If you can get out to protest, you can get out to vote.
†† Party affiliation of the mayors of Nashville is unavailable prior to 1951.
††† Since 1977, Albuquerque has had only two Republican mayors: 1981-1985 and 2009-2017. The other 30 years featured Democrat leadership.

“It’s not an endlessly expanding list of rights — the ‘right’ to education, the ‘right’ to health care, the ‘right’ to food and housing. That’s not freedom, that’s dependency. Those aren’t rights, those are the rations of slavery — hay and a barn for human cattle.” -Alexis de Tocqueville (1805-1859)

May God have mercy on our souls.

Today, New York state passed a landmark law protecting unlimited preborn infanticide… or abortion, as it’s more commonly called. The bill, which goes under the euphemistic “Reproductive Health Act” effectively allows for abortion at any time for any reason, and removes abortion from the state criminal code.

It’s a sad, sad day in Mudville.

The law, aimed at protecting access to abortion in the event that Roe v Wade is overturned, is nauseating. I won’t go into it here, but you’re welcome to read the text of the bill HERE. Matt Walsh, professional teller of truths, also has a spot on op-ed, You Can’t Give A Lethal Injection to Criminals in New York but You Can Give It to Infants

At this point, the abortion issue has become a part of a larger problem. The world, and western nations in particular, have a cultural sickness. We live in a world that celebrates death and is nonchalant (at best) about life. Suicides, murders, and general tragedy dominate news media for days at a time. Positive stories involving children and families are seen as “fluff” and “feel good” rather than a goal. The traditional nuclear family is the exception, not the rule. Fatherless families, children born out of wedlock, siblings with multiple fathers or mothers, and rampant, no-fault divorce are the new normal.

Overturning abortion is a noble and lofty goal, but it will mean nothing if we cannot get to the root of the problem. We need to challenge ourselves to change our thinking, to see motherhood and fatherhood as joyful callings rather than heavy burdens. We need to recognize pregnancy as the miracle that it is, and not an inconvenience at best, or a disease at worst.

How can we do this? Support.

We need to nurture a culture in which a loving father is the norm. We need to get away from the Homer Simpson stereotype of fathers being lazy, stupid, and worthless. How many times on television and in movies do we see a father figure as the hero? How many young boys can watch television and say, “I want to be like him!” Instead, we get the bumbling idiots -loving fathers, perhaps, but idiots just the same. Homer Simpson, Phil Dunphy (Modern Family), Bob Belcher (Bob’s Burgers), Hal Wilkerson (Malcolm in the Middle) are just a few that come to mind.

As Chris Rock said, “A n**** will say some shit like, “I take care of my kids.” You’re supposed to, you dumb motherfucker! What are you talking about?” What kind of ignorant shit is that?”

Instead of devaluing fatherhood, we need to elevate it. Paternal leave. Nor referring to time spent with the kids as “babysitting” or “stuck with the kids”. No more commercials where Dad has no idea how to care for his own child and is desperate for Mommy to come home. Dads matter. One of the most beautiful illustrations of this concept can be seen in “soldiers come home” video compilations. If you can make it through those without crying, you should call your psychologist. Should socioeconomic proofs be more your thing, look up statistics involving absentee fathers, crime, poverty, and soaring abortion rates in the black community since the 1950s.

Motherhood deserves its own admiration. The Mommy-Wars need to stop. For mothers that choose to or must work outside the home to provide for their families, childcare needs not to be so prohibitively expensive, nor should it be the responsibility of the tax payer. Mothers who choose to be stay-at-home moms should likewise be supported in their choices.

The last giant issue is adoption. Did you know that adoption in the United States can run families tens of thousands of dollars? We often hear that adoption is the solution to abortion, but how can it be at that cost? How many couples are desperate to have children, but are unable to conceive and unable to adopt because of the outrageous financial burden? When an abortion costs around $300 and adoption $37,000, are we surprised when there are 638,169 abortions (2015) to the 135,000 adoptions? (Including the roughly 670,000 in foster care).

Bottom line: Before we can change the laws, we need to change our culture. Otherwise, what’s the point?

Avert your eyes…

…seriously, this is not safe for work, small children, special snowflakes, or house pets. If I had to see this, well, I sure as hell am not going to be the only one* who suffers.

* * * * * * * * * *      * * * * * * * * * *     * * * * * * * * * *

If you can’t read it, it says, “Periods are not just for women. Hashtag: Bleeding while trans”.

It’s okay. I’ll wait until you stop gagging.

This represents the epitome of what is wrong with celebrating a mental disorder. Yes, I will say that again:

Transexualism, or transgenderism, characterized by the belief that a person born biologically male, or biologically female, believes that he is a member of the opposite sex. One suffering from this belief, also known as gender dysphoria or gender identity disorder, will often undergo extreme measures to portray himself  externally in order to match these conflicted identities. These measures include but are not limited to cross-dressing, hormone therapy, and genital mutilation.

That is the basest summary. Now I’ll get into the technical:

A Biological Glossary¹, because, Facts and Science.
We all love Bill Nye, because of Science!

Sex
1.  : either of the two major forms of individuals that occur in many species and that are distinguished respectively as female or male especially on the basis of their reproductive organs and structures
2. :  the sum of the structural, functional, and behavioral characteristics of organisms that are involved in reproduction marked by the union of gametes and that distinguish males and females
3. a : sexually motivated phenomena or behavior
b : sexual intercourse
4. genetalia

Gender
1.  a : a subclass within a grammatical class (such as noun, pronoun, adjective, or verb) of a language that is partly   arbitrary but also partly based on distinguishable characteristics (such as shape, social rank, manner of existence, or sex) and that determines agreement with and selection of other words or grammatical forms
b : membership of a word or a grammatical form in such a subclass
c : an inflectional form (see inflection 3a) showing membership in such a subclass
2. a : sex the feminine gender
b : the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex

trans-
(prefix) 1. a prefix occurring in loanwords from Latin ( transcend; transfix); on this model, used with the meanings “across,” “beyond,” “through,” “changing thoroughly,” “transverse,” in combination with elements of any origin:

Here’s the basic, science-based, hard cold truth:
“Gender” is a language construct. In many romance languages, certain nouns are considered either masculine or feminine. The word “cat”, in Spanish, for example, is a masculine noun. One will always refer to “the cat” as “el gato”, regardless if the cat is male or female. Likewise, in French, “the chair” is translated as “la chaise”. Like Spanish, “la” denotes a feminine noun. In English, common nouns (person, place, thing) are neutral.

When it comes to humans, we are born² either male or female. We have a distinguishable and often visible sex: either a penis and testes or labia and vagina. Male babies carry the XY gene, females, XX. When puberty occurs, males will develop a deeper voice, more muscle mass, thicker and more widespread body hair, and the testes will drop further into the scrotum to facilitate the production of sperm. Females will develop breasts capable of creating milk and begin a roughly monthly menstrual cycle.

The menstrual cycle³, of course, brings me to the whole point of this. Every 28 days or so, the uterus, the only reproductive organ capable of protecting a developing baby, lines itself with nutrients and blood. If conception does not occur, the uterus empties itself of this material and begins the process anew. For anywhere between 2 and 7 days, give or take, blood and tissue exits the body via the vagina.

As ONLY females of our species have a uterus and a menstrual cycle, allow me to make it very, very clear that periods ARE just for women. There is no possible way that a biological male is ever going to ovulate, create sperm-friendly cervical fluid, conceive, and bear a child. He will never have breasts that produce milk and nourish that child. This is something exclusive to biological females.

One of the biggest problems I have is the statement, “I feel like a woman.” No person born male can ever truly understand what it is to be a woman. The closest true statement would be “I feel what I imagine being a woman feels like.” As a male, he will never experience the visceral things a female body does, will never see the world colored by the experiences of being a woman, because no matter what he does to his body, he will never be a woman. Likewise, a biological female can never truly understand what it is to be a man. We share the human experience, but it will always be through the lens of our own lives. I can imagine the discomfort of standing in front of a class with an unexpected erection because I have had to walk down the hallway with bloodstained clothes because my period started unexpectedly. I can’t tell you what the sensation in the testes during an erection feels like, nor can a man understand the unique and painful sensation of passing a large blood clot through the vagina. We cannot understand because it is outside our realm of experience. It is impossible.

So to the woman in the picture above suffering from gender identity disorder:
I’m sorry society has failed you. I’m sorry that we, as a culture, have allowed this notion of “sexual freedom” to get so far out of hand that it prevents you from getting the help you so desperately need. I can’t imagine what it is like to feel like you were born “wrong” or “broken”. You are not. You are a woman, a fellow human being, worthy of respect. I am only one small drop of water in an ocean of those who think your suffering is something that should be continued and not abated. I wish there was something that could be done that didn’t force you to poison and mutilate your beautiful body. For it IS beautiful, just as it was the day you were born and your family marveled over your adorable ears and counted each of your perfect fingers and toes. I’m sorry we are so far gone that we cannot help you. We can’t even help ourselves.

The Dawning of a New Age

I realize I haven’t written anything really political around here lately, and for good reason. It sends my stress levels though the roof and I’ve got six different doctors telling me to take it easy. On the other hand, they’re trying to get my blood pressure out of the toilet, so maybe this is a good thing.

Donald J. Trump is now our 45th president. To all the whiners and special snowflakes, allow me to offer some advice:

Shut. The fuck. Up. We, the silent majority, somehow managed to get through eight years of Barack Hussein Obama (Mmm Mmm Mmm), you will get through the next four (minimum) of President Trump. You know what? It feels really good to be able to say that. President Trump. He was not my first choice in the primary season. I voted for somebody else on Primary day. As Trump pulled a Secretariat and blew past the competition and I started looking into this hard-assed business man from NYC, I began to think, “You know what? Maybe this is the kick in the pants that the general public NEEDS so desperately right now.”

There are only two stipulations to become president of the United States. 1. You must be a natural-born citizen, and there are zero questions that Trump is. He was born in the Bronx to a first-generation German-American and a Scottish immigrant who became an US citizen on her 18th birthday. The second requirement states only that the office-holder must be 35 years of age or older*.

What does this mean? It means anyone who meets those two requirements can run for the highest office. It does not need to be a career politician, or a lawyer, or former ambassador. It does not need to be anyone with political experience. A farmer could run, or your local UPS guy, so long as they have the backing to launch a major political campaign. IMHO, I think a Joe Schmoe would do very well. Someone from the middle class who KNOWS what people want and need, rather than a person who’s been gazing down on us peons from their Ivory towers for most of their adult lives.

That’s why I trust the Donald to frankly, get shit done. He’s been there. He know’s what it’s like. Yeah, he may have grown up with money, but he knows what do to with it, and he’s not afraid to get down and dirty to get the job done. This country has taken some real wrong turns, and I’m surprised we haven’t landed at Albuquerque yet.** I firmly believe that he truly loves this country and is going to do what it takes to make it the reigning superpower, instead of the laughing-stock, on the world stage. Where others have led from behind, he will be leading the charge, in whatever form it takes.

So God bless President Trump, and God bless America.

An Addendum on Yesterday’s Crazy

As of this writing, the #BoycottTarget petition has gathered 975,444 signatures.

Quite the statement.

Really want to make your voice heard? Make sure to start shopping at their competitors. Start with “Mom and Pop” businesses. Support your local shops. If you need to go big,: Hobby Lobby. WalMart. Aldi. Academy Sports. Cabela’s. Toy’s “R” Us. Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Dick’s Sporting Goods. Publix. Trader Joe’s. All businesses that have a reputation for being “family friendly”.

We cannot count on the “powers that be” to advocate for our safety. We need to do it ourselves. Put pressure on places like Target* by shopping elsewhere. Don’t enroll in universities before checking their policies thoroughly. Do your research. It’s election season. You have to be ready to back yourself up practically every time you post an unfavorable opinion (read: not something the MSM or the liberal left would agree with) on Facebook.

Gandhi-great-quote

*Target started jumping the shark a few years ago, after there was a massive leftist outcry following a donation by the company to a politician who did not support gay marriage. They’ve been “atoning” for this mistake ever since, with massively public displays of affection for the LBGTABCQMXYZ crowd, eliminating gender-specific sections in their children’s clothing and toy departments, and demanding that guns not be carried on their premises, despite a very legal right to do so by those holding concealed carry permits. (Massachusetts has an open carry law, though most people don’t take advantage of it because of the Chicken Little effect it would cause; would they prefer that right be exercised?) Anyway, Target is not the only company pushing this dangerous gender-neutral nonsense. Starbucks and Barnes and Noble have also joined up to shoot themselves in the foot. As of midnight on Friday morning (when I’m updating this, because my stupid radiatiors sound like they’re possessed) the #BoycottTarget petition has reached 1,002,916 signatures.

This Post Brought To You By an Unbelievable Level of Stupid, Courtesy of the Liberal Left

Otherwise entitled: Society has lost its collective mind and I just can’t right now.

  1. Seattle, WA: A man undresses in a women’s restroom, citing a new rule in the city that allows people to choose a bathroom based on gender “identity”
  2. Prince William County, VA: A man dressed as a woman was arrested after police say he was caught peeping/filming into restroom stalls three times in the past year.
  3. Palmdale, CA: A 33 y/o Palmdale man who allegedly dressed as a woman while secretly videotaping females using a department store bathroom was charged with six counts of unlawful use of a concealed camera for the purposes of sexual gratification.
  4. Ontario, Canada: A biological man claiming to be transgender so as to gain access to women at two Toronto shelters was jailed “indefinitely” after being declared by a judge a “dangerous offender”. The man assaulted and raped multiple women, including a Deaf woman.
  5. Toronto, Canada: The University of Toronto recently changed its transgender restroom policy after multiple peeping incidents.
  6. Smyrna, TN: William David was arrested in Wisconsin but was extradited to TN to face felony charges relating to filming women inside Smyrna restrooms, including aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
  7. Orange, CA: A 24 y/o man was arrested after a hidden cell phone was recording video inside a unisex, single-stall restroom at Chapman University.
  8. Pitman, NJ: A teacher, school bus driver, and high school student were among 16 people facing child pornography charges in New Jersey. Thomas Guzzi Jr., 36, of Pitman, is also charged with 3rd degree invasion of privacy for allegedly hiding a tablet computer in a bathroom stall to record video of others using the toilet.
  9. Logan County, OK: 43 y/o James Curt Rose sits behind bars for videotaping a 13y/o in the showers at a YMCA
  10. Iowa City, IA: University of Iowa police arrest a man connected with the videotaping of a women who was showering in a residence hall.
  11. Quarryville, PA: 19y/o James Thomas Shoemaker was arrested and faces child porn charges for hiding in a woman’s restroom and taking pictures of young girls on his cell phone.
  12. Montgomery County, PA: A man was arrested at a Target Store after a female patron caught him attempting to spy on her while she was in the dressing room.
  13. Athens, GA: A man was seen on security cameras in a local Target sneaking into a women’s restroom and using his cell phone to take pictures of the ladies in there. He was detained by store security until police arrived.
  14. Brentwood, MO: 26y/o Matthew Foestrel is accused of holding a camera under a Target dressing room door while a female patron was trying on bathing suits. He was convicted of “knowingly and intentionally” filming an 11 y/o girl in a dressing room while partially nude. Foestrel was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
  15. Petersburg, FL: To demonstrate the absurdity of the Target policy, a man, dressed as a man, acting as a man, records a conversation between himself and the store manager in which the man asks if it’s okay that he uses the women’s room because he “feels uncomfortable” in the men’s room. The manager assures him that it is, and he will deal with any complaints from women already using the facilities. The man leaves, as he was only proving a point.
    no_trouble

There are more, of course, but I’m sick of looking at double screens to get the details. I think you begin to get the gist: the idea of allowing one to use whichever restroom or fitting room, or any other place people of a single sex usually gather while in a state of dishabille, they “feel” best suits their “identity” at the moment, is a truly terrible idea.

Now, allow me to clarify one thing. I am not talking about the roughly 700,000 people (out of 323,439,000) in the nation that are transgender. (Although it is biologically and scientifically impossible to turn a man into a woman, or vice versa, that is a post for a different day.) No, I’m taking about the 808,675 (and growing) registered sex offenders in this country and her territories. Now, that’s about 0.25% of the population. Transgenders make up even less than that, even less than the usually reported 0.30%- it’s more like 0.22%. Ergo:

Sex offender population > transgender population

So I’m sorry, but my safety and security as a woman, and the safety and security of other women and girls trumps your “comfort”. Sure, there are plenty of perverts and deviants who would assault women before policies like this, but now we’ve just opened Pandora’s Box and made it extremely easy for them to do so, because now no one will initially question their presence in what should be a ladies-only area. But think about it. I stop at one of these quietly gender-neutral friendly stores after work (because it sure won’t be a vocal one like Target. #BoycottTarget) to pick up a few things. I was in a rush to get out of the building and have to use the restroom. Like most store restrooms, this one is tucked in an out-of-the-way place, away from most of the other patrons. I’m carrying my purse and I’m wearing high heels- not conducive to running. Inside the ladies’ room in a man, dressed as woman, and he’s not there to pee and leave. I’m 5’1 and barely over 100lbs. What are the odds that your average male is not going to have a super difficult time overpowering me?

Ladies, before you get all gung-ho about equal-rights rah-rah-rah, think about how often you already have your guard up, walking alone on the street, in a bar, etc. How often are you made to feel uncomfortable by something uncouth a man does, or says. How frequently do we already go to the restroom in “packs”? It’s not because we need someone to help us wipe our butts. It’s protection for ourselves and each other. Why on God’s green earth would you support something to further endanger yourself?

I’m not a psychologist, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn…

I would like to throw this next question out, because it is a seriously legitimate question. I am in my first full year of teaching, and my students are anywhere in the range of 11- to 14- years of age. I teach a variety of subjects, depending on the day, and I live and work in a very urban and very poor area. Despite the economic troubles, there is a strong sense of family and culture penetrating the city.

So here is the question: What is WITH kids today?

I didn’t think I was that old, but (and I didn’t think I’d be saying this for at least another twenty years) when I was that age, I didn’t know such foul language existed, and I was far from being a sheltered child. To paraphrase Lewis Black, the “f-bomb” isn’t so much a word as it is a comma. Sexual suggestions, slurs, and commentary one would expect to hear in “Fifty Shades of Gray”  can be heard just passing through the hallways. Students are aggressive toward each other, constantly threatening to throw punches. At best, none can stop talking for more than a minute or so, and their silliness leaves them falling out of their chairs and knocking their books onto the floor.

It’s amazing if any actual knowledge is absorbed.

We try. We go in there, battle-hardened warriors, day after day, never sure if anything we do is making any sense. Are we educating? Are we passing along the facts? Are we getting them to think? Are they interested in the material? Do they want to learn more? Are we giving them the tools to succeed outside the classroom? How can we tell if they’re not responding to us?

I don’t have an answer. I know if I behaved like that when I was in middle school, well, no one in my school would have ever behaved like that. Ever. How does an entire system get turned upside down over the course of a mere 15 years? When did the inmates start running the asylum?

I love my students, but a solution has to be found, or I may burn out of my career before it really even starts.

Do not be deceived by appearances…

Recently, and by recently I mean today, there have been a lot of memes and notes on Facebook about the Planned Parenthood sky falling. By this, of course, liberals are in a tizzy because those mean old terrible Republicans are threatening (finally with gumption) to cut off government (read: public, read: my money and yours) funding to those child-killers.

In any normal, civilized world, this would be a good thing. Unfortunately, America has been turned on her head.

Instead, said liberals and worse, liberal feminists are screaming about losing the one* source of women’s healthcare and unrestricted access to abortion yadda yadda yadda. In reply, kindly let me point out a few things that the MSM and the pitiful excuses that pass for “newspapers” print.

myth and fact

  1. the 3% Myth
    1. This myth consists of the belief that abortion is only 3% of PP’s services. It’s actually a strategic little marketing/bookkeeping ploy on the part of the finance office. Abortions being the most expensive procedure offered, the last thing that PP wants to do is cut off their Golden Egg. Instead, former PP workers have reported being told to counsel women toward abortion in almost every case. Dead babies = $, and we need to stay near that $300 million profit margin! So to even things out and make themselves look better, a single visit for a year’s worth of contraceptives might be listed as 12 separate visits, while the number of visits needed for an abortion will be lumped into one.
  2. Health Services
    1. Here is an experiment you can try at any time, and it will only take you about five minutes. Call up your local PP clinic and ask to schedule a mammography. Go on, I’ll wait. What? Couldn’t do it? You’re right. There are 700 PP-affiliated centers in the USA. Not one of them has its own mammography machine. Comparatively, the 9000 community health centers located throughout the country boast slightly more than 424k. At most, a woman might receive a manual exam at PP and a pap smear (the latter? Nearly 2 million to PP’s 378k.)

Planned Parenthood. Providing all sorts of healthcare for women. As long as abortion, contraception, and willful nondisclosure of sex trafficking and child abuse are your ideas of healthcare.

America does not “need” Planned Parenthood. American girls do not need a woman like Margaret Sanger, eugenicist, to look up to an admire. Women do not need a place where they are valued only by what is between their legs.

“Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.”

“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”
-Margaret Sanger, heroine of the  feminist liberals

When Lions Trump Babies, You Know We’re Screwed

Imagine, if you will, your friendly neighborhood veterinarian. We’ll call her Dr. Farrell. Dr. Farrell loves dogs. She loves dogs so much, that she runs a dog-specific clinic. She especially loves puppies and mama-dogs, so she concentrates on them. She says she treats them for all types of diseases and testings and screenings to ensure their health, but she’s most concerned with the ones who are pregnant. She knows that the ones who are pregnant and have owners that want the puppies will be fine, so she tells those dogs to go somewhere else for their care. Dr. Farrell takes care of the dregs. She specifically sets up her clinics in areas that have a lot of poor, stray dogs. Dogs that don’t have owners, or have owners that don’t care about them. Dogs that aren’t spayed. Dogs that wouldn’t be able to take care of their puppies. So everyday, Dr. Farrell makes sure her clinic looks hip and inviting, with comfortable doggy beds, bones to gnaw on, fresh food and water. When a pregnant lady dog comes in, Dr. Farrell assures her that she doesn’t have to worry about half a dozen new mouths to feed. She’ll take care of the problem and send the dog on her way.

So Dr. Farrell forces open the dog’s cervix, and reaches in with some sort of suction device and a knife (curette) to cut the puppies apart and extract them from the womb. One of Dr. Farrell’s assistants will have to put all the pieces together again later to make sure all the puppy-tissue was gotten. Sometimes, if Dr. Farrell didn’t get to the dog early enough, she might burn the baby puppies to death with saline, or wait till the puppies are almost born, then as they’re coming through the mama dog’s birth canal, she’ll just stab them in the back of the skull with scissors. Whatever way she chooses, the puppies are dead and no longer the lady dog’s responsibility.

Running a clinic like this is hard though, and even though places like PETA give her a lot of money to keep the unwanted puppy population down, Dr. Farrell has found that she can get a lot of money by selling those puppy bodies to cosmetic companies. People get so angry when they hear that companies test their products on animals, but no one seems to care about the puppies that Dr. Farrell has killed. For whatever reason, they are blind to it. So Dr. Farrell is able to sell those bodies to Covergirl and Bath and Body Works, and they pay enough to buy Dr. Farrell a new car. All thanks to dismembered puppies.

Now, be serious. If an undercover journalist had come out in the last 10 days with videos proving that PETA was dismembering and selling unborn puppies or kittens, the country would be in an uproar (see: Cecil the Lion). Instead, an undercover journalish has undeniable evidence that abortion giant Planned Parenthood is selling the bodies of unborn children. More than that, they are line items. They are profit. They keep PP in the black. There is good evidence that many of these children are intact, which means PP is blatently ignoring the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban one way or another. As of this writing, three states (NH, AL, and LA) have cut off funding to Planned Parenthood, and several others have launched investigations.

As Americans – hell, as decent human beings, why are we even pretending that this is okay? What makes us think that it is okay to kill a child at any stage of his or her development? If one killed a panda in its mother’s pouch, he would be in as much legal trouble as if he killed the adult panda. Probably more. Why? Because a developing panda is still a panda. Why are animals protected, and not human babies? They are equally defenseless.

Planned Parenthood is beyond defending. Please, if you haven’t already, watch the videos or read the transcripts. (All of which can be found here.) Urge companies like Pepsi and Bath & Body Works to stop their donations, as others like Coca-Cola have already done. Write your members of Congress on the State and Federal level to defund them; you do not want your tax dollars supporting state-sanctioned murder.

Save the humans.

Not Cool, Southwest Air, Not Cool

Well, I can add Southwest to my list of “airlines I won’t fly”.

Folks, I’d like you to meet Daniel:

daniel

Daniel is three years old and suffers from a very rare neuromuscular disease. Unfortunately, his condition is terminal. His family has compiled a small bucket list in order to cram as much happiness into Daniel’s regrettably short life as they can. In order to help, the ever-wonderful Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, who apparently rescues sad humans as well as sad dogs (Daniel’s family adopted a dog from BFDR some time ago) has organized a trip to Talladega next month along with local PD, fans, and random people everywhere. According to Jeanne at BFDR:

“One of the things we thought we had covered were airline tickets from Baltimore to Birmingham. People offered to donate miles to help get them there.  Then Southwest Airlines decided to suck.”

Southwest’s lame-o excuse? They only donate tickets to Make-a-Wish families, and Daniel has already been granted his wish. If people want to donate their miles, they’ll be charged. (Keep in mind that these aren’t miles that will cost Southwest anything; these are miles that others have already accrued and people want to donate and be kind. Just like donating gently used clothes. These are gently used miles. Sorta.) Why who uses these free miles should even matter to Southwest is beyond me, but charging for what should be free is unacceptable.

More from BFDR:

So, we’ll buy their tickets. We need to fundraise $3500 to buy this family of four tickets to get to Talladega. This is likely the last trip this family will take as Daniel is fading. We wanted him to have the trip all little boys want where he gets to see an honest to God NASCAR race up close and in person. We will make sure he gets it, even if Southwest Airlines sucks epicly. Our fans have already made this a trip of a lifetime, and this is the last piece of the puzzle.

Please spread the word and donate if you can. Feel free to spread the word that Southwest wanted to charge for donating miles to help a dying boy. If you would like to donate, please do so here: http://bigfluffydogs.com/pay-online.php. Make sure you email jean@bigfluffydogs.com after you donate and put the word “Daniel” in the subject line. I will post and let you know when we have what we need. Thanks for being the best fans in the world and helping a dying boy even when Southwest Airlines wants to profit from the well wishes of people.

So Delta had lost my business for their horrid customer service, and now Southwest has lost it for their complete and total Scrooge-itude. When a multi-million dollar company cannot stand the thought of its frequent fliers participating in charity, we have a major problem.
